Tips to involve little Farmers
Get little ones involved in crumbling the cooled cake and decorating with the crushed Smarties®!
In a large mixing bowl, mix the caster sugar and buttery baking spread until soft and fluffy, then fold in the self-raising flour and egg until you have a smooth batter. Pour the batter into a lined cake tin and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
While the cake is cooling, mix the butter and icing sugar until smooth to make the buttercream.
In a large mixing bowl, crumble cooled cake. Stir the buttercream to soften, then add to crumbled cake and mix. Form small balls with clean hands, making sure the cake sticks together without cracking. If it cracks, add more buttercream.
Place balls on cookie sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
In a small heatproof bowl, melt the MILKYBAR buttons in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time until smooth.
Dip the end of a paper stick into the MILKYBAR chocolate and press into cake ball until secure on end of stick. Repeat with remaining sticks. Dip pops into melted MILKYBAR, making sure to coat the whole pop.
Roll pops in the crushed WHITE CHOCOLATE SMARTIES then leave to set.
