Tips to involve little Farmers

Why not let your little one add the Snowman’s eyes and Smarties® nose once you’ve covered the top of the biscuit in chocolate - don't forget to make sure it's set first!

Recipe

  • 1

Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas mark 5.

  • 2

Beat the light buttery spread and the sugar together until smooth.

  • 3

Stir in the flour and use your clean hands to get a smooth paste.

  • 4

Gently roll out until the paste is 1cm/ ½in thick.

  • 5

Cut into rounds using a 2.5 inch cutter, and place onto a greased baking tray.

  • 6

Prick lightly with a fork and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

  • 7

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown.

  • 8

Set aside to cool on a wire rack.

  • 9

Whilst your biscuits are cooling, pour your Milkybar® Buttons into a bowl.

  • 10

Fill a small saucepan about a quarter full with hot water, then sit the bowl on top so it rests on the rim of the pan, not touching the water.

  • 11

Keeping the water at a temperature barely simmering, stir the chocolate occasionally until melted. Now remove the bowl from the pan.

  • 12

Carefully dip the top of the cooled biscuits into the melted chocolate.

  • 13

Once the chocolate has dried, using the black writing icing carefully draw 2 small circles for eyes and one circle to hold the snowman's nose in place.

  • 14

Add one Orange Smartie® to the centre of the Snowman’s face and wait to set.
